HERMIT

MMU Production Crew:

In our production group, we explore the intricate dynamics of human psychology through compelling narratives. Inspired by the journey of "Hermit," our latest project delves into the transformative odyssey of a reclusive agoraphobe. Our approach blends introspective exploration with external conflict, inviting audiences to reflect on the complexities of their own self-sabotaging tendencies. "Hermit" challenges conventional notions of identity and belonging, urging viewers to confront their fears and embrace the transformative power of self-discovery. Through every frame, we aim to evoke thought, emotion, and a deeper understanding of the human experience.

My artistic vision as a filmmaker is rooted in the exploration of the absurd and the surreal. I am fascinated by the peculiar and the nonsensical, using these elements to craft narratives that challenge conventional storytelling. My films delve into the realms of the bizarre, creating worlds where the extraordinary becomes commonplace. By embracing surrealism, I aim to amplify the absurdity within my stories, offering audiences a unique lens through which to view reality. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire audiences to question the mundane and embrace the unconventional.

I am a filmmaker with a passion for working with stylized narrative films that push boundaries and challenge conventions. As traditional representation moves away from the cultural norms of the past and newer diverse voices and perspectives can be heard centre stage and reach mainstream audiences, I’m thrilled as a queer female producer to be part of a wider inclusive media landscape that can be as democratic as it can also be chaotic and disruptive. I thrive throughout the journey of filmmaking and relish the chance to support visionary projects from the beginnings of an idea, affording them the space to evolve through the key stages of development and dissemination. I’m committed to the collaborative process, from the initial pitch to the final edit. I want to nurture the most engaging stories and guide them towards fruition. I’m detail oriented and give my all to storytelling that challenges, enthrals as well entertains. I’m looking for projects to develop that share my values and drive to create projects that are fresh and celebrate a diverse prospective.

Originally coming from a photography background, my passion for film lies in visual storytelling. As a filmmaker I believe I excel in building rich aesthetics that complement a film’s plot and theme. Through my style of wide angled cinematography, which is demonstrated in Hermit, I aim to build connections between characters and location in a unique way that resonates with an audience
