Seashore

We follow Marina as she learns to live with being broken up with unexpectedly by Sylvia one year ago and she’s deciding whether to move away to study abroad and start a new life. However, her choice is put on hold when Sylvia suddenly returns. They end up running into each other on the same beach where the breakup happened, and they both discuss their relationship and why things ended the way they did. Sylvia reveals she regrets how they ended things and wants to repair the relationship. They spend one last night together and it ends with Marina deciding to leave despite having some last-minute reservations and Sylvia supports her. It ends with Sylvia going to the beach the next day alone and she cries as she feels what Marina felt when she had originally left.
Director's Statement:
Seashore is a culmination of my personal love for bittersweet romance films and my passion to represent a female queer relationship that is driven by character and not external conflict. I wanted to create a film that not only queer people could relate to, but also anyone who’s ever had a relationship not work out and show the hidden beauty of lost love.
