Rotoscoping is the technique of drawing over live action footage to create something that stylistically is akin to animation. This was the main technique I utilised for this film. I accomplished this by filming scenes and gathering stock footage and then drawing over them in pencil and watercolour paint on skecthbook paper over an Ipad screen. While laborious, I felt it was important to create the sense that the film had been hand drawn and the only way I knew how to do this was to actually draw it by hand.
